The Full(er) Story
About Me
Hi! Thanks for being here and taking the time to read some background on why I am here:
I am a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. I have a desire to connect with those who seek to experience life from a more loving lens. I regularly experience how much more readily available love is to us from within our own hearts when we create the time to care for ourselves, especially amongst the chaos of daily living. We aim to create a healthier and happier internal reality, and a life we are happy to be living.
Love is transformational. From the way we see ourselves when we look in the mirror to the ways we interact with the world around us, love is the force that roots us here. We each have a soulful light within us that can feel dim or shaded at times of life and that is totally normal - and it is also possible to let more of our light shine when we identify and remove the blockages.
My hope is to help uncover more innate light and watch it radiate. When we aren't shaded, we more easily choose how bright we shine and the frequency of which we operate.
If we shift our perspective, we shift our reality. Perspective is ours to do with as we choose. How is it that we look at our own life? How do we want to experience life and ourselves?
Everything in life is an opportunity.
Downswings may be seen as nature’s way of showing us opportunity for change and growth. Inner shifts can be made slowly over the course of time in order to live happier and healthier. One moment at a time, the ideal life we imagine, the headspace we seek, and the wealth consciousness we desire is our reality.

I was born and raised in beautiful Southern California with my three siblings. We all played sports growing up and went on to compete in D1 athletics in college. We spent a lot of time camping and exploring parks, which shaped my love and appreciation of being outside and in nature. I see how an appreciation of nature and beauty can be cultivated and fostered within all of us. I experience the profound positive impact that nature has on my psyche and overall life satisfaction. I know it can benefit us all, which also benefits Mother Nature, too.
From a young age, we began attending service on Sundays with a spiritual community that focused on our connection with the infinite ever-flowing energy of the universe, personal development and our relationship with God (or the Universe as I now prefer to call the all-connecting energy). In youth groups, we were encouraged to sit in stillness and silence to allow space to just be. We got to know ourselves better and learn more about the essence of humanity; there are numerous perspectives we can choose to have as our guide through this life.

I went to the University of New Mexico where I was living a long time dream of playing Division I college soccer. I wasn't clear on the direction of my life beyond soccer, but I knew my passion for connecting with others and helping people to feel seen and loved. So I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Community Health. After college, I played soccer in Denmark for a season and lived with an incredible Danish family. After 20+ years of playing soccer, I felt paralyzed with indecision of "what now?" I considered how I could apply my skills of connecting with people and do work that felt fulfilling to me.

I know now that it is not a career that leads to life fulfillment, but our internal head & heart space that determines a fulfilling life. What a relief!
I’ve been a bartender and food server at various restaurants over the years, worked as a mentor to young people, lived in Spain where I taught English as a second language, traveled lots both solo and with others, visited 30+ National Parks (and counting...) around the United States, coached youth soccer, worked full-time at a youth soccer club, bike packed, moved states for a relationship, and moved states to be closer to family. I found the feeling of peace that washes over me comes in the simplest of moments, not when I've gone through great lengths to find it.
When I am at peace in my own heart – despite where I am literally or figuratively in life – peace resides.
The feeling of contentment, joy, and peace is something I hope to help others realize is within at any given moment. We can open to feeling the divine love present in all moments of this often chaotic, messy life. What comes up when we open our hearts? With courage, support, and belief in oneself, joy is here for us – even in the chaos.

I began developing The Blanket Method with the intention to inspire others to create space to meet daily personal needs, and see that positive life change is not only possible but necessary to living lighter. The Blanket Method is a shift toward a happier and healthier life that comes with self-reflection, building conscious awareness, and a willingness to grow and expand.
The Blanket Method is internal. We create external space to care for our internal space. It is about creating comfort on the inside. Loving and appreciating our hearts, minds, and bodies.
Acceptance & ownership.

Life seems to open up when we live consciously, actively, and playfully. We get to connect with others through present listening, joyful reflection, and a positive playful attitude towards life.
The coaching model I use is self-guided. This means that as a coach, I am the passenger and you are the driver (you do the work and navigate the journey). You know what is necessary in order to access the life you want, you may just need to get out of your own way. How? That's where a coach is helpful.

A coach can be utilized along with a therapist and a doctor. A coach partners with you and comes alongside in your endeavors to grow in the direction of your choosing.

I offer a guided program that can encourage a sense of direction and purpose as you self-guide toward a more fulfilled life that is healthier and happier.

National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC)
Community Health focuses on the health of populations and the major factors that influence individual lifestyle, health, and overall life-satisfaction. Psychology focuses on the mind and behavior. Are populations able to be positively influenced psychologically by becoming aware of their surroundings, environment, and thought patterns?
Guiding Mindful Change is a certification course taught by Billie Frances. It is here I came to conceptualize this idea of being "in my own way." With powerful, easy to understand phrasing that feels palpably true for many of us. I continue to hone the practice of listening and reflecting with inquiry, curiosity, and subtle guidance that allows space for Self-guided development and change. Change is powerful; it is difficult to realize, actualize, and keep though it is upon us always. In what ways do we care, sometimes even desperately, to change? Dare to be different.
National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWC) support clients in activating internal strengths and external resources to make sustainable and healthy lifestyle behavior changes. NBC-HWCs use a client-centered approach wherein clients decide their goals, engage in self-discovery or active learning processes, and self-monitor behaviors to increase accountability, all within the context of an interpersonal relationship with a health coach.

Whatever goal the client sets, the health coach ensures that they are supported until the desired outcome is achieved. Our board-certified coaches display an unconditional positive regard for their clients and have trained to the highest standards in the profession which means that they have the skills and knowledge to walk alongside you on your path to your healthiest self.
